When I first saw the BerryPlush AIO cloth diapers I KNEW I had to have one. It just looked to be the softest thing I have ever seen. I really wasn’t sure how it would actually work as a cloth diaper, but I knew I had to at least try it out. With all the comments I receive from family and friends about cloth diapering today (why on EARTH would anyone want to use cloth diapers?!?!) I knew that if this diaper worked at all, it would be the perfect cloth diaper to show them all and say…”See! THIS is why I cloth diaper!”. Of course, there are many other reasons for my choice in using cloth diapers, but cute is definitely a factor and one that I think has the most weight with my mainstream friends and family.

I ordered my BerryPlush cloth diaper and eagerly awaited it’s arrival. When my fluffy mail finally came I tore open the package and was amazed. This diaper really is as soft and cozy as it looks online! I couldn’t stop petting it! Even my husband was surprised at its beauty. He asked me if I was really going to put it on the baby and let her…well, you know…in it. Well, I did! I couldn’t wait to get it on her. Her bum was just so adorable! We live in Canada and it was April when I received this diaper so it was by no means warm here. I just wanted to show off her bum and let her run around our house with only her diaper on all day. I turned up the heat and did just that! I can’t imagine anyone having such fun with a disposable diaper, can you?

Okay, so lets talk about function. With being such a cute and stylish cloth diaper, it couldn’t really hold up well to leaks, now could it? I was pleasantly surprised! BerryPlush cloth diapers have so much adjustability around the legs and waist that it was easy to get a great fit on my daughter. The elastic around the legs and waist keep everything contained and the best part is that the soft Minkee fabric completely encases this elastic so that no red marks ended up on my daughter’s skin.

I must admit, I prefer to use these as cloth diaper covers, more so than an all-in-one cloth diaper. We are still breastfeeding and I find I have to wash my diaper covers in general, more often, unless I get a very snug fit around the leg openings with the diapers themselves. Because the snap-in soakers lay flat in the diaper, you can’t wrap them around the legs tightly. They work flawlessly as diaper covers though, because of their great fit around the legs and waist. They hold everything in, preventing leaks onto my daughter’s clothing. My favorite combination is a BerryPlush cover over my Snappi’ed DSQ prefolds. These covers also fit very well over all of my other fitted diapers, and I have a wide assortment!

I do still reach for a snap-in soaker when I’m in a rush or just having a lazy day, so these are nice to have, but I love the fact that I have the option to use this diaper as both an all-in-one and as a diaper cover. I haven’t splurged on too many things when it’s come to building my cloth diaper stash, but this is one product that I really feel was worth the price. Being able to use these as an all-in-one diaper as well as a cloth diaper cover is a great option because the one diaper goes a long way. You don’t have to wash them after each wear, if they aren’t soiled. I just air them out in rotation with other diaper covers and reuse them for the day.

I truly LOVE using cloth diapers and when using your BerryPlush cloth diaper you will understand why. My only disappointment is that my daughter is already a year old and that I didn’t know about these when she was a newborn. This cloth diaper WORKS and it is just the sweetest, most gorgeous cloth diaper I have ever had the pleasure of using. It’s exactly what I would want to swaddle a newborn’s bum in, but I’m glad to be able to use them on my toddler now, as well. I can’t wait for baby number two to come along so that we can start with cloth diapers right from day one. These will make it so easy!
