Catbird Baby Mei Tai Carrier

The CatBird Baby Mei Tai Carrier is based on traditional Chinese baby carriers. Use from birth through toddlerhood in front facing in or out, hip, or back carries. Discreet breastfeeding is possible in the front carry. Fit is highly customizable through tying methods and features integrated elastic for cinching base, making it easy to adjust for smaller babies or for an ergonomic facing-out carry.

What is unique about our mei tais?

Our mei tais have an elastic loop sewn into the side seam, which can be used to cinch the base. This allows for easy forward facing carrying. And since it's sewn into the seam, it can never be misplaced.
Our mei tais feature an attractive contoured hood that may be completely tucked inside the carrier body when not in use. You can even stuff a burp cloth inside the pocket to create additional infant head padding or just to have a spare.
There are two full layers of 8 oz. brushed canvas in addition to the print panel for great support. The print panel fabric plays no functional role and is not integral to the carrier's strength.
